We know that choosing a builder to take on your project can be daunting, to say the least. Building or renovating a home is frequently an overwhelming and stressful experience, but it really doesn’t need to be that way! We love building, and not only will we do everything we can to deliver the best product possible, we also take every effort to ensure that the entire experience, from concept sketches to final completion, is as fun and rewarding for the customer as it is for us. Here’s a basic idea of how we work:

First, we have to hear from you! Give us a call or send us an email and tell us about your project. It’s ok if you’re just in the very beginning stages of imagining your dream home, or if you already have fully engineered architect drawings, we’re always happy to discuss projects of any size at any stage.

The second step is usually a site visit. The purpose at this stage is for us to meet you, for you to meet us, and for us to learn a little more about your project. At this point, assuming we all agree that your project might be a good fit for Alger Brook, we try to discuss budget. We find that it’s helpful to bring this question up as early as possible, so that everyone is on the same page. It’s ok if you haven’t thought about it yet! We’re really just trying to set reasonable expectations so that no one comes away feeling surprised or disappointed.

With the B word out of the way, it’s time to start drawing. We will typically provide initial sketches and ballpark pricing to help provide you with the information you need to decide if you’d like to move forward with Alger Brook.

If you like the direction things are going, the final step is to create detailed drawings and a comprehensive estimate of the project.
